GeraCity Lore: How the Gera World Is Built

The setting

Gera City is a fictional coastal metropolis in 2030 where public services are delivered through an alliance of AI-run Gera companies. The city's founding charter is the “Citizen Covenant” — a promise that every service will be local, fair, and accessible to all 60+ countries the player can represent.

The factions

• The Clinic — runs hospitals, runs on public trust. NPC leader: Dr Anahit.
• The Market — merchants' guild. Motto: “Every price is transparent.”
• The Eats — food guild. Tense rivalry with The Market over delivery rights.
• The Cash — guardians of the GeraCoin. NPC leader: Auditor Volkov.
• The Home — tradespeople's union.
• The Farm — rural growers feeding The Eats.
• The Ride — transit guild. Runs the metro, the ferries, the drones.
• The Jobs — the labour exchange. Matches citizens to employers.

Recurring NPCs

Dr Anahit heads the city hospital in GeraCity, appears as a quest-giver in GeraQuest RPG, and signs contracts in GeraTycoon. Her arc across the three games is the first long-form Gera story.

Mayor Kote is GeraCity's default mayor — present from minute one, replaced by the player once they hit 10k citizens. He reappears in GeraTycoon as a retired consultant and in GeraQuest RPG as a faction captain.

The long arc

The “Citizen Covenant” is the over-arching storyline. A hidden adversary — revealed slowly across the three games — is trying to break the Covenant. GeraCity players unlock the first chapter; GeraQuest RPG continues it; GeraTycoon economically stress-tests it. Canon endings are coming in 2027.

Why real services as factions?

Every building in GeraCity links to a real Gera product you can use outside the game. Hospital → GeraClinic; restaurant → GeraEats; market → GeraMarket. The lore isn't just a skin — it is the in-game reflection of the actual Gera services portfolio.
